Shipping your Quilt
I live in Punta Gorda Florida and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. If you are local, I will be happy to schedule a meeting place to accept your quilt.
To ensure your quilt top arrives safely and is ready for quilting, please follow these steps:
- Clean and Press Your Quilt Top:
- Ensure your quilt top is clean, pressed, and free of loose threads. This helps me achieve the best quilting results.
- Prepare the Backing Fabric:
- Make sure the backing fabric is squared up, pressed, and at least 4-5 inches larger on all sides than your quilt top.
- For example, if your quilt top is 50” x 65″, the backing fabric should measure at least 58″ x 73″
- Make sure the backing fabric is squared up, pressed, and at least 4-5 inches larger on all sides than your quilt top.
- Do Not Pin or Baste:
- Please do not layer, pin, or baste your quilt top, batting, and backing together.
- Send each piece separately.
- Please do not layer, pin, or baste your quilt top, batting, and backing together.
- Package Securely:
- Take the time to package your quilt top securely to avoid potential issues during transit.
- Always place your quilt, backing fabric, binding, and batting (if sending your own) inside a plastic bag to protect them from moisture during shipping.
- Then, use a sturdy box to prevent damage in transit
- If you are sending multiple quilts, please either mark top and backing OR fold the top and backing together to clearly show which backing goes with which top.
- Before completing the packaging, take a photo of everything and email the picture to me along with the tracking number.
- This will help me to know what should be included in the package when I receive it, that way I can contact you immediately if there are any issues
- Make sure your box is securely taped and labeled clearly
- Include a Note:
- Before sealing up your box, please include a written note with your contact information, the desired quilting design or tier, thread color preferences, and any other details I need to know.
- This way I can match your quilt up with your online order form when it arrives.
